My Review of The Elephant Man

The Elephant Man was a really interesting movie and I really enjoyed watching it. At first I really didn’t understand the movie and I was pretty confused on what was going on. After watching and reviewing it for several days I really understood what was going on. The Elephant Man was based on a true story so I think that’s what made it interesting. The Elephant Man was about a guy that was deformed and a doctor from the London Hospital wanted to see this Elephant Man and he takes care of him and they become really good friends. The movie is really interesting I can’t say that I was bored of watching it at one point because I really enjoyed this movie. The movie was a really serious and sad movie. This movie had symbolism but it wasn’t that easy to find. The Elephant Man was a symbol of Jesus Christ and it was pretty interesting cause I never really thought that The Elephant Man can symbolize someone so important. Thos are my thoughts on The Elephant Man.

Today was a very special day for me because I became an official resident of the London hospital. When I got the news for Dr. Frederick Treves, the Mothershead, and Carr Gomm I was really surprised because the London Hospital was going to be my home. After the surprising news I then got a gift from Dr. Frederick Treves and he unwrapped it for me. It was a box and I wasn’t sure what it was and the Dr. Frederick Treves opened it and he it was a dressing case. I was really thankful because I’ve never really had something nice before. Later that night I was well dressed and I was using my dressing case. I really liked it and I was having a lot of fun with it. Everything was going well and I was a having a good because of all the good news. I was in my own little fantasy and I was having a great time, until the door opened and I saw the Night Porter. I was in shock so I froze and then all these people were looking at me. Then they all came in and it was just terrifying. Then they all left and I was dramatized, I was sleeping in my bed when I see Mr. Bytes. I was really terrified because i thought that i was going to get hit but i didn't. Mr. Bytes just touched my hair in a weird way. Then he just took my away with him.

Modern Times

 

Modern Times was a really good film in my opinion and it was a new experience for me. It was the first silent film that I've seen. I really liked the film because of Charlie Chaplin. He was the main character and he was also the director. He made the movie really funny even at serious times. The film did show some pretty depressing times but Chaplin was able to make it humorous . The film Modern Times was about how Charlie Chaplin saw the future. In that time it was hard for people to get a job and many people struggled because they had no money. Chaplin was able to show that but he made it funny instead of depressing. The film was so good that you were able to tell the character's emotions and feelings even though it was a silent film. Chaplin did really good in making this film and I really enjoyed it.

Bullying

Bullying has been around for a really long time but we have gotten to a point where bullying has become a very serious problem. Many people are bullied every day so it is a problem that is always happening. I honestly don’t see the reason of why people should bully because they are not making the other person feel any better and I don’t see how it makes them any better. I don’t see why people like to bully other people; it’s probably because they are having problems in their house, maybe they are angry and they say thing that they don’t mean to say, or even because they’ve been bullied themselves and want other people to feel what they felt when they were bullied. I have experienced bullying in my life; like once in middle school there is was this kid and he was my friend, this boy was a very smart person and he was always doing well in school. This boy is pretty short so people make fun of him be he is very strong so he could take a joke, but there was always this kid that would always make fun of him and it got to the point where it got really annoying and he would start to take it too far. I saw that the boy didn’t like it because he would look sad. So one day I decided to tell that other kid to leave him alone because the boy never told him to stop and that is why he kept doing it. After I told him to stop the other boy realized that he was hurting his feelings and he apologized to him. I felt like I did the right thing during the situation. So if you are able to help someone that is getting bullied it makes a big difference in that person’s life. Those are my thoughts on bulling.     

My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie has to be The Fast and The Furious. I liked that movie because it is the first one out of the 6 movies that have been made. I am really into cars so that is one of the reasons why I really liked that movie. Now the Fast and The Furious movies have changed, the most recent movies are more action and drama and a little bit of love. But the first 3 movies were all about racing; even when two people would fight they would settle it in a race. Now there’s rarely any racing so I’m not that much of a fan of those movies now. In the first movie there are a lot of different cars and they would go to street races and stuff like that. To me that movie is one of the best I’ve seen mostly because I grew up watching it and I’ve always really liked cars. That is why The Fast and The Furious is my favorite movie.
